Creating An E-Mail Account in Outlook 2002 / 2003

The following procedures outlined how to add a New E-mail Account to Microsoft Outlook 2003:

  1. Open your Microsoft Outlook.
  2. On the Tools menu, select "E-mail Accounts".
  3. Select "Add a new e-mail account", and click Next.
  4. Select POP3, and then click Next.
  5. Fill in all the information as required:

    1 Your Name Enter your name as you would like it to appear
    2 E-mail Address Enter your E-mail Address
    3 Incoming Mail Server (POP3) Enter mail.<yourdomain.com>
    4 Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) Enter mail.<yourdomain.com>
    5 User Name Enter your E-mail Address
    6 Password Enter your Password, the password you set when you create this mailbox from your control panel

    Notes:
    - Replace <yourdomain.com> with your actual domain name.
    - Do Not enable "Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA).
     

  6. Click on "More Settings" button to continue.


     
  7. Enable "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.
  8. Select Use same settings as my incoming mail server.
  9. Click "OK" to continue.
  10. Click "Next" to finish the setup.
  11. Your email account is now configured properly on your Microsoft Outlook.
