The EDG guide for Singapore AI, ERP and software projects

The Enterprise Development Grant can co-fund the custom transformation work we deliver. Here's who qualifies, what it covers, and how to give your application the best shot.

The Enterprise Development Grant (EDG), administered by Enterprise Singapore, co-funds projects that help companies upgrade, innovate or expand. For custom AI, ERP and software work, it's usually the right grant — here's the practical picture.

Who qualifies. Three core criteria: your business must be registered and operating in Singapore; at least 30% locally owned (by Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents); and financially able to start and complete the project.

What it funds. EDG projects fall under three pillars — Core Capabilities, Innovation & Productivity, and Market Access. A new ERP, a custom operations platform, or an AI deployment typically sits under the first two. Supportable costs usually include third-party consultancy, software, equipment and certain internal manpower, with funding up to 50% for SMEs (subject to assessment).

Why custom transformation fits EDG well. Unlike pre-packaged solutions, EDG is built for scoped, custom projects with a business case — which is exactly what an ERP rollout or a bespoke system is. You define the outcome with your vendor, write the case, and Enterprise Singapore evaluates it.

How to give your application the best shot:

  1. Anchor it to a measurable business outcome, not a feature list.
  2. Show the productivity or growth gain the project drives.
  3. Get your scope, costs and timeline coherent before you submit.
  4. Apply before the project starts — not after.

We structure EDG applications end-to-end for the projects we deliver, so you focus on the outcome and we handle the paperwork.

Eligibility criteria, support levels and supportable costs are set by Enterprise Singapore and can change — always confirm current details before you apply.
